The Work Begins - Drive Slowly and Carefully Please

The Board of Directors thanks everyone who was able to attend the 2020 AGM on Sunday May 17. The minutes from the meeting have been emailed to all the members. And we would also like to thank everyone who paid their road fees in full on time this year as there is some work going to start already on the road this week.

2020 Road Work - Phase 1
On Friday May 22 starting around 8am people and equipment will be on the road:

  • Breaking off the tops of rocks (aka 'nuggets') to reduce the impact they have both as a risk to the undersides of vehicles and interfering with road grading.
  • Repairing / improving ditches in certain areas that continue to allow winter snow melt and storm water to get onto the road surface and wash away gravel.
  • Pumping out some of the volume of water in the beaver pond west of 492 - this pond has its dam right beside the road in the gut.

    • In order to keep the folks doing the work safe PLEASE DRIVE SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY - they will be operating loud machinery and will not be able to hear vehicles approaching.
