Road Update

The road had a number of rough spots at the end of the 2025 season, primarily the first hill up from the highway, the gut, and a number of potholes that have multiplied as the logging truck traffic continued into the late fall.

The culvert that was repaired after the 2025 spring ice storm and subsequent thaw has held up very well. We are hoping to be able to grade the road as soon as the frost is out of the ground - ideally this winter will end early.

There was also some new equipment acquired by one of our cottagers. A flail mower to trim the sides of the road more often to improve safety as well as a box grader to help maintain the road. The equipment is on site to make quick fixes easier.

As always, be careful on the road, and here's hoping warm weather is on the way.
